UEFA’s disciplinary panel on Friday banned Bayern Munich striker, Thomas Muller for two Champions League matches.
According to EuroSport, Muller was banned due to his bad challenge on Ajax defender, Nicolas Tagliafico in last month’s Champions League encounter.
The German international will now miss the two rounds of the Champions League last 16 ties against Liverpool on February 19 and March 13.
The 29-year-old took to his official Twitter page to apologise to the defender after the encounter.
“I would like to apologise to Nico Tagliafico for yesterday’s incident. It was unintentional. Get well soon,” Muller tweeted.
