Legendary Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, wants the Bayern Munich job amid doubts over Niko Kovac’s future, the UK Telegraph reports.
Wenger is not interested in taking over at another club in England, after ending his 22 years in charge at Arsenal.
The Frenchman has already said that he wants to be back in management by the beginning of 2019 and it is believed he is keen to take over at Bayern.
There are suggestions in Germany that Wenger is seen as a possible successor to Kovac, who has had a bad start to life at the Allianz Arena.
The German champions are fifth in the Bundesliga table after 12 games.
Kovac’s position took another blow this weekend, when Bayern threw away a 3-1 lead against Fortuna Dusseldorf to draw 3-3.
