2023: I will prioritise youth, women empowerment

From Felix Ikem, NsukkaThe candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) for Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South federal constituency in Enugu State, Mr. Ejike Omeje has promised to make youth and women empowerment top his priority if elected in the 2023 general election.Omeje, an Abuja-based Pharmacist said this in Nsukka on Monday during the inauguration of his campaign office at number 5 Aku road, Nsukka where he also inaugurated his campaign Director General and other campaign council members.He said that his campaign will be issue-based and will be focused on the developmental needs of the constituency, assuring that he would put the people’s interest above his interest if elected.According to him “today, I officially opened my campaign office, the office will be open on daily basis for the day-to-day running of our campaign activities, I also inaugurated my campaign council led by Mr. Ejiofor Agada and local governments and ward coordinator.“I can assure you that the good people of Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South federal constituency will never regret electing me to represent them at the National Assembly, as accountability, transparency and good representation will be my watchword.“I will give priority to youth and women empowerment, job creation,road, education, and agricultural development if elected.“I will never make any promise that I will not fulfill, hence my campaign will be issued based while I truly solicit for the support of all and sundry to enable me to emerge victorious in the 2023 election,” he said.The former National Sale Manager of Evans Therapeutic Medical PLC said further that he has personally intervened in the health, education, and other needs of the people in his private capacity.He said that the opportunity at his disposal would serve as the best time for him to give more to the people if elected.He pointed out that he would collaborate with other national assembly members to reintroduce the bill seeking the establishment of the Southeast Development Commission that would expedite development in the entire zone.Speaking, Mr. Ejiofor Agada, Director General Ejike Omeje’s campaign Organization described the House of Representatives hopeful as a marketable product, adding that his humane disposition and philanthropist gestures to the youth and the less privileged speak volumes for him.“I did not think it twice before accepting to be his campaign director general because Omeje has shown capacity even as a private individual.“This is a man who single-handedly facilitated the employment of over 200 graduates from Nsukka zone both in federal and private establishments.“For over half a decade now he has been donating assorted drugs quarterly to his Edem-Ani community cottage hospital in Nsukka LGA,” he said.Earlier, Mr. Augustine Alumona, the state vice chairman of APC said that he has known Omeje for a very long time, adding that the party has absolute confidence that he will emerge victorious in the 2023 general election given the fact that he has impacted positively almost all the people who have come close to him.“Omeje is a man of integrity and honour because his yes is always yes no matter whose ‘Ox is gored’ and his passion for helping and uplifting others is second to none.“APC as a party and his supporters in the constituency are optimistic that Omeje will record landslide victory 2023,” Alumona said.
