Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, needs to guide the Red Devils to win the Premier League or Champions League crown if he’s to be in contention for the Ballon d’Or.
This is according to French football expert, Adam White.
“I think, first of all, Robert Lewandowski deserves a Ballon d’Or at some point and probably would have won it last year if they would have held one,” White told GIVEMESPORT.
“But from Ronaldo and Messi, I think Ronaldo would need to win either the Premier League or the Champions League to have a chance and he would need to be the main man, as he was at Real Madrid.”
Ronaldo has won the Ballon d’ Or five times in the past.
Only Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi has won more Ballon d’ Or than Ronaldo.
The Argentine captain has won the Ballon d’ Or six times.
