A little boy who was missing for four days was found alive in woodland and he appears to be in good health.
Christopher Ramirez, 3, wandered off while playing with his pet dog at home near Plantersville, south Texas.
He was discovered following a local tip-off and was taken to hospital for a check-up, Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell said.
It’s not yet clear how the child survived but the police officer revealed he’s in ‘good shape’.
‘He’s drinking lots of water, but he’s good,’ Sheriff Sowell said.
‘He’s alive, laughing, cutting up, crying. His mom is crying. He’s in good shape.’
He added the little boy was found not far from where authorities had initially been searching.
‘Hardly no clues to go on, we were running on prayers, four-wheel drive and overdrive to be honest with you because we had nothing else,’ Sowell said.
‘We had nothing else.’
