The Vice-Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council in Delta State, Olorogun Daniel Ighedo, has been confirmed dead on Tuesday after months of running battle with the Uvwie monarch.
Ighedo, a native of Ekpan town in Uvwie died on Tuesday after he reportedly slumped and was pronounced dead at the hospital he was rushed for treatment.
Hours after he was taken to the hospital, the doctors confirmed him dead.
Ighedo was allegedly ostracised by the Uvwie monarch over the crisis surrounding the appointment of Community Liaison Officer (CLO) to a company in the area.
He was ostracised because of a petition he wrote against the revered Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Abe 1, to the Nigeria Police Force demanding the arrest and interrogation of the monarch.
