The convener of the EndSARS protests in Delta State, Comrade Israel Joe, on Monday said a “procession” to mark the anniversary of the protest is being planned.
This is coming as the police in Lagos State have warned against any protest to mark the #EndSARS anniversary in the state.
The human rights activist disclosed this in a chat with VELOXNEWS in Warri.
He said the procession depends on whether the Delta State Government will implement the judicial panel report or not.
According to Joe, “We are doing a wider consultation in Asaba, Ughelli, Sapele, Abraka, Warri, Udu, Kwale, etc.
“The governor had told us that the report is before Excos and we want the implementation process to commence before 20th of October.
“We have been getting several calls from both families and victims of police brutality for which compensations were awarded.
“We will make our stance known before the weekend after all due consultations with stakeholders, #EndSARS committee, and others.”
