Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea has opened up on what Erik ten Hag has done to the Manchester United squad since his arrival.
Just as many United players have confirmed, Ten Hag has instilled discipline in his team and this has seen the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo depart Old Trafford.
The 37-year-old Portugal international saw his contract terminated after he went to the media with in-house issues after a series of face-offs with manager Ten Hag.
De Gea, whose future at Old Trafford came under scrutiny in the summer with Erik ten Hag’s arrival, says the Dutchman has put every player in the same direction, adding that they now feel like a proper team.
“He’s [Ten Hag] doing well. He puts every player in the same direction and we feel like a proper team,” he told MUTV.
“Everyone wants to win, everyone wants to play for this club and that’s massive. He brought a great spirit to the team, we are playing really well and this is the way we have to show and keep the momentum as well.”
He further revealed that Ten Hag was angry after Man United’s 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday night before they conceded many chances.
“He was a bit angry because we conceded too many chances and we were too open at the end of the game, so he was a bit angry.”
