Former WWE superstars The IIconics are set to debut for IMPACT Wrestling at Bound For Glory later this month.

The entertaining duo of Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay, known as Peyton Royce and Billie Kay before their shock release from WWE in April this year, are making the jump to the Knockouts division as The IInspiration.

The exciting announcement was made at the very end of Saturday night’s Knockouts Knockdown event, with a short video playing to confirm their arrival.

Neither star has officially commented on the news yet, although both shared the same silhouetted poster revealing their ‘comeback tour’ kicks off at the huge show on October 23.

Not surprisingly, the wrestling world is buzzing at the chance to see the pair back doing what they do best, and those within IMPACT clearly can’t wait.

Gail Kim tweeted: ‘Hello and welcome #TheInspiration to the greatest women’s division EVER!!!!! #StackedDivision #WomensWrestling #knockoutsknockdown’

IMPACT boss Scott D’Amore wrote: ‘Welcome @JessicaMcKay & @CassieLee aka IInspiration to the @IMPACTWRESTLING Knockouts roster.’

And wrestler Chelsea Green summed up how we’re feeling as she simply added: ‘I’M SO DAMN EXCITED!!!!!!’

There’s more to come from the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions even more Bound For Glory, as they’re poised to drop their debut single – which is also called The IInspiration.

In a tweet announcing the exciting news, Jessie wrote: ‘We worked with such an incredibly talented team on this song. Can’t wait for you guys to hear it!!’

The duo have paired up with Harley Cameron on the tune, and they’re noted as featured artists.

Bound For Glory will be the first time wrestling fans have seen them reunited since the summer of 2020, when they were forced to split up after losing to the Riott Squad.

Plenty of people were disappointed with the decision, including fellow Aussie Rhea Ripley.

Speaking the day they were released, she exclusively told ‘It makes me really sad knowing that they broke up. I really didn’t want that to ever happen, because they were so fantastic together.

‘They just bounced off each other so well, because they are best friends in real life so they had that behind them.’
