Wolves boss, Julen Lopetegui was furious at VAR in the game against Liverpool on Saturday after what would have been their winning goal was disallowed for offside.
The FA Cup clash eventually ended 2-2 at Anfield, with VAR controversially denying Wolves’ Toti an 82nd-minute winner.
The VAR official for the night Mike Dean caused mass confusion at Anfield with a lengthy check after which he ruled the goal offside.
And after the game, it was confirmed that he disallowed it due to an offside call in the build-up.
It was later reported that the VAR official did not have a camera angle of the alleged offence, with viewers at home also left in the dark.
Lopetegui was absolutely fuming with the decision as he told ITV, “The offside that we had… We have seen it, the offside doesn’t exist, I’m sorry.
“It’s impossible someone has told him it’s offside, but we’ve seen the images, it doesn’t exist.
“The decision is wrong. And it is a pity, because I’m sorry, it’s not offside.”
