Two teenagers have been injured in a Saturday night hit and run in Greater Manchester.
One 14-year-old girl suffered life-changing injuries and remains in a serious condition in hospital.
Along with another girl, aged 17, she was hit by a red Audi A4 in Bolton at around 9pm while crossing the road.
The 17-year-old suffered minor injuries and was also treated at the scene by paramedics.
But the younger girl suffered serious pelvic and abdominal injuries which were described as life-changing.
The car failed to stop after the incident in Great Moor Street and a hunt is ongoing to locate the driver.
No arrests have been made but Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are investigating the incident.
PC Thomas Berry, of GMP’s Roads Policing Unit, said: ‘This is a serious road traffic collision where the offending vehicle has failed to stop, leaving a 14-year-old girl in a serious condition in hospital.
‘I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Bolton town centre at the time of the collision and saw an older model dark red Audi A4 in the area.’
