The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has drawn a battle line with the Ebubeagu security outfit in Imo State following the alleged recent killings of 14 youths at Awomama on Sunday by the outfit.
IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful, in a statement he released to the media on Thursday, placed a N2 million bounty on the commander of Imo State Ebubeagu security outfit, asking for useful information to bring him to justice over the alleged killings of the youths.
Although the Department of State Service(DSS) has owned up for the killing of the youths who they also said were bandits neutralised at their camp and not at a wedding function as claimed.
IPOB, while condemning the Awomama massacre, has dismissed a sit-at-home order by a faction of the group led by Simon Ekpa, former Directorate of Operation of the group based in Finland.

Powerful claimed that Ekpa’s numerous orders have been responsible for the blackmail of the group for quite some time.
The statement reads in part:
“The head of this murderous militia named Ebube-Agu in Imo State is one drug and cult leader returnee from Mozambique, Mr Izuchukwu Akuegbulanwa (Aka Ogwu).
“As a result of his murderous terrorist activities against our people, IPOB hereby declares this Ebube-Agu Commander in Imo State wanted. He is now a wanted person in Biafra land. Anybody who gives useful information about him and what will lead to the capture of this murderer will get a reward of 2 million Naira from IPOB.
“ESN Imo State Command has also been given a matching order to look for him to account for the innocent blood of Biafrans his criminal gang has wasted.
“He can’t hide forever because the gods of the land are against him and his sponsors. We enjoin every Biafran especially Imo people to be on the lookout for him and give us useful information about his movements. We must hold him to account for the innocent people he has wasted in cold blood.” Powerful stated.
On the purported sit-at-home, he said “We, therefore, urge our people to ignore the meaningless and senseless order from a Nigeria Agent to sit-at-home tomorrow.
“Simon’s Ekpa has no mandate to issue a sit-at-home order using IPOB therefore our people must ignore such senseless Infiltrators rant and go about your normal business, we have no business with the criminal, the female nude seller who causes pain to the people of Biafra,” Powerful stated.
