Just when you couldn’t imagine Married At First Sight UK becoming more hectic after the cameras stopped rolling, Marilyse Corrigan has suggested Luke Dawson could be her ‘perfect partner’ after suddenly splitting from Franky Spencer.
Mariylese and Franky seemed tight during the Married at First Sight Reunion, even sharing a gushy post moments before the episode aired.
Days later, it was confirmed they were done.
What’s more, Luke also split with Morag Crichton after he claimed he’d been ‘played the whole time’.
While the series may be over, with some of the couples still together, the drama never ends.
Following her recent break-up with Franky, Mariylese revealed: ‘I’ll say it, I do really like Luke, I think he’s a lovely guy and he has the potential to be the perfect partner for me,’ admitting it could work because they are ‘so similar’.
‘I’ve only ever looked at Luke in a friendly way so I don’t know if it could become romantic – but then again, I don’t know what the future holds,’ she told The Sun.
‘Obviously he lives in Wales, which is so far away, so distance could be a problem.’
She did, however, also stress: ‘I think I might eat him for breakfast.’
Mariylese’s comments come after Franky moved back to Dubai to focus on his job.
Assuring there’s no bad blood between himself and Mariylese, he wrote on Instagram: ‘Unfortunately, Marilyse and I have broke up. It’s very sad because we get along great and have gotten through a lot of obstacles but it just hasn’t worked out.
‘We have been mature enough to remain friends because we still respect each other and been through so much together in such a short time.
‘Let me tell you that this woman has a huge heart which I adored and I will always appreciate all the support she gave me when trying to adapt to a new life.
‘Thank you Maz your a star! You and your family have been a very special chapter in my life. X’
Married At First Sight UK is available to stream on All 4.
