By Zika BobbyWith over 29.7 million unemployed graduates in Nigeria, youths have been urged to maximise opportunities in the real estate industry and be financially empowered.Speaking at the launch of Realtor Max Firm, a registered real estate firm which focuses on real property business, the company’s CEO, Michael Adeyemi stressed how viable the industry is in terms of creating job opportunities. Adeyemi said unemployed graduated can come in as Realtors, to market lands and rental apartments, thereby earning up to 10 to 15 percent on their sales. His words: “With over 28 million home deficit in Nigeria presently, it implies that people will always look for somewhere to put their heads. Therein lies the employment opportunity which Realtor Max Firm is currently offering our unemployed graduates. RealtorMax intends raising a community of 5,000 Realtors.”According to him, the company is not only providing job opportunities for the unemployed youths, it also offer people the opportunity to own their own properties and also use the industry to grow their own wealth. “With this platform, people can start with whatever amount they have, pay on a monthly basis, thereby becoming a landowner. Already we have properties in different locations that are affordable and people can key into. As developers, we also help them to develop these estates into habitable environment.Our goals is to maximise risk. RealtorMax aim is to start one project, execute and finish it, then move to another project,” Adeyemi said.In his address, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, Mrs. Toke Benson, who was represented by Oriakhogba Emmanuel stated that RealtorMax Firm is fully registered with the Lagos State government and that investors are free to partner with the firm. He however warned aspiring investors not to partner with Real Estate firms which are not registered as this could be dangerous.
