Nigerians passing through difficult times –Archbishop Ibezim

From Aloysius Attah, OnitshaAnglican Bishop of Awka and Metropolitan of Awka Ecclesiastical Province, Most Rev. Alexander Ibezim, yesterday, lamented that Nigerians were passing through the most difficult times in history, stressing the need to elect good leaders in the coming 2023 general elections. Archbishop Ibezim, who spoke during the church service to mark the commencement of a new legal year by the Anambra State Judiciary, regretted that insecurity had risen to an all-time high in every part of the country with kidnapping for ransom and wanton killings reigning supreme. He commended the Anambra State Chief Judge, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu, who found it worthy to begin the new legal year with a thanksgiving to God, even as he prayed that his tenure as the Chief Law Officer in the state would end in praise and not shame.Archbishop Ibezim recalled his encounter with some bandits during his recent trip from Abuja who knocked his vehicle from behind with the intention that he would stop and then fall into their hands but the spirit of God told him to order the driver to keep moving and that was how they escaped danger.Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, represented by his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachi Ibezim felicitated with the judiciary and assured of his readiness to live up to expectations as a leader in the state at all times.
