Presidency: My ambition not for private, egocentric curiosity – Tinubu replies Akintoye

The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has stated his ambition just isn’t out of private or egocentric curiosity.

Tinubu defined that he’s working for the presidency because of his readiness to serve Nigerians.

He was reacting to a remark by the chief of the Yoruba Nation group, Professor Banji Akintoye, that his presidential ambition was private and never within the curiosity of the Yoruba folks.

The APC presidential candidate stated Akintoye’s comment was malicious and unwarranted.

Talking by means of the Director of Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Marketing campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu vowed to withstand any try to derail his presidential marketing campaign.

In line with Tinubu, Akintoye’s remark was misplaced and divisive.

The assertion reads, “Our consideration has been drawn to an unlucky, misdirected, misplaced and divisive assertion credited to Prof Banji Akintoye, during which his group threatened to tug the South West out of Nigeria.

“We discover it fairly preposterous the Professor’s sweeping outlandish accusation that Bola Ahmed Tinubu is just pursuing his PERSONA curiosity in working for the presidency of Nigeria. Such an announcement is malicious and unwarranted.

“It’s pertinent to state that Tinubu is contesting for Nigeria’s presidency due to his readiness to render unflinching service to Nigerians and due to his abiding religion in a robust, united, and affluent Nigeria the place each man and lady, no matter their ethnicity and spiritual beliefs, will be proud and affluent.”

He stated many of the points raised by Akintoye had been addressed in his Motion Plan.
