Top Premier League goalkeeper, Vicente Guaita, is set to join former Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, at Saudi-Arabia-based club Al-Nassr.
Al-Nassr are reportedly looking to sign an elite goalkeeper to beef up their defensive capabilities this season after their first-choice goalkeeper David Ospina, suffered an elbow injury that will keep him out for the remainder of the season.
According to Relevo, Al-Nassr have set their sights on Guaita, who currently plays for Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The report added that Al-Nassr have offered the Spanish shot-stopper a six-month contract that can be renewed based on performance objectives due to Ospina’s injury.
The Saudi club also offers a three million plus performance bonus for the short-term deal, which could swing the trade in their favour.
This move for Guaita is considered independent and complementary to another goalkeeper, Agustin Rossi, the report added.
