Chelsea’s latest signing, Benoit Badiashile has revealed that his desire to play in the best league in the world propelled his move to Stamford Bridge.
The Monaco defender joined the Blues for €38million and the deal was announced on Thursday.
Chelsea’s Chairman, Todd Boehly announced the arrival of Badiashile, who is the latest highly-rated defender to roll off France’s production line.
He will immediately challenge for a first-team place and could form a long-term partnership with his Fofana, once he returns to full fitness.
Speaking for the first time as a Chelsea player, the 21-year-old told the club’s official website, “I’m very happy to be here at Chelsea.
“I’m so excited to start playing for this club. I can’t wait to see the fans and start playing in the best league in the world.”
