Manager Steve Cooper wants Super Eagles attacker Emmanuel Dennis out of the club this January.
The manager has declared Dennis surplus to Nottingham Forest’s requirements.
The winger joined the Premier League, newcomers, five months ago from relegated Watford.
Sky Sports reports that Cooper has made it clear to the club’s hierarchy that he no longer needs the Nigeria international and four others at the club.
The other players, according to Sky Sports are Loic Blade, Harry Arter, Sam Surridge and Josh Bowler.
Nottingham Forest wants to offload the players to make room for reinforcements in the January transfer window.
